Librarian Pirate

Books, babies (well, a toddler and a kid but that isn't alliterative!), social justice (throwing alliteration completely out the door), general geekery (welcome back! Although it's a cheating sort of alliteration with the hard g following the soft g), and random wildness.

Missing Colorado's mountains but loving Chicagoland.

It’s the second annual Buy a Book About a Duck Day

Oh!  Well.  I didn’t know.  But I’m never one to back down from a challenge so:

This day was started in honor of Mr. Duck Means Business which is an absolutely lovely book.  Highly recommended.  But say your local indie bookseller is out of Mr. Duck, here are some other fantastic duck books.

Duck on a Bike - it’s a Duck, he’s on a bike, and that’s awesome.

I Can Help - everyone in the jungle helps everyone else and all is awesome.

The Odd Egg - is really super pretty.  It really is.  And funny.

I love the whole Duck and Goose series by Tad Hill.  All of them.  Quality.

Does Duck! Rabbit! Count as a book about a duck?  Because it could be a book about a rabbit … either way it’s awesome.

Edit: And HOW COULD I FORGET DUCKS DON’T WEAR SOCKS?  Because Ducks don’t wear socks and Emily knows what’s up and no silly duck in socks is going to tell her she’s wrong.
