feelinganddreaming said: LP! I need your help! My 15 year old male cousin never reads for pleasure but he was just given The Hunger Games and devoured it in practically one sitting. We desperately want to continue this, and I have recommended Chaos Walking (which his mum is currently getting), but I was wondering if you had any other ideas. He's very sporty but it doesn't have to relate, I think he really just needs something to grab his attention.

Ernest Cline, Ready Player One

Garth Nix, A Confusion of Princes

Kenneth Oppel’s Matt Cruise Series starting with Airborn.

James Patterson’s Maximum Ride Series starting with The Angel Experiment

Scott Westerfeld, Uglies

A.C.E. Bauer, Gil Marsh.

Mike Lupica, True Legend.

Scott Sigler’s Galactic Football League Series, The Rookie

Side note: these are not all guaranteed to be quality literature but with luck he’ll glom onto one of them and love it.
