Obviously not from an Orson Scott Card penned episode of Superman
Ok so at one point they said that the reason that Supes’s clothes never get ripped is because he emits this, like, half a centimeter thick aura of invulnerability that keeps his suit rip free.
I don’t know if it still is so in modern continuity or if it was so during this continuity but I’m going to believe so because them this is an aesthetic choice and that makes me smile.
